Sad to see that North America's only purpose built cricket stadium has failed to pull in large crowds or any international fixtures since it was opened in November 2007. The Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida isn't even being used for local matches as the hire fees are too high.

Real shame - America and cricket don't seem like natural partners but I was surprised when in California a few years back just how many teams there were. Though it has to be admitted that most of the players were Indian, Aussies, English and Kiwis!
