Flintoff Test retirement a boost to IPL

Gooch is right - the last great English cricket character is about to leave the fray. I have a feeling that his decision may well have a few of the worlds top players thinking along similar lines. The IPL can only go from strength to strength as a result. As in rugby, too many games are taking their toll on the bodies of the most talented of all the Test playing nations.
I watched Flintoff play at Sus*** when he was still in his teens - a joy even then. Flintoff never had to work at seeming special. He just was.
