What happened to ICL World Series

because of Mumbai terror attack current season of ICL was canceled. As far i knew the ICL world series was scheduled to start on 21st january, 2009. but we all know that that didn't happen. can any one tell me why it happened and when will it continue?

I was not aware of 21st January and their is no mention of such dates on Official Site. I think their has been no discussion on this issue after 26th November, the day after which ICL World Series was postponed.

And also their is problem of India, Pakistan Relations and as Pakistan Ministery has not allowed IPL Players, same might happen with ICL Players. So mostly this series has gone in a vain is unlikely to start again. If even it starts it will be no in near future.

BTW, the Finals are played in my CITY Ahmedabad only. The way crowd came in the finals of T20 Series, I don't think I would have any chance to enter the ground. Also their are two IPL Matches here althought Our Team was not short listed in franchise and we hope they will be listed in the next biggest changes that will take place in the 4th Edition of the IPL.

i just visited the ICL website. yes, it's true that there is no mention of the 21st January. But there was it's mention in last November. As i was writing reviews of the matches played by Dhaka Warriors and ICL Bangladesh, i often visited that site. After ICL closed suddenly i visited and saw that it's written that ICL will continue on 21st Jan 2009. i also wrote a report about it on my blog that day.

i don't know why the officials have changed this schedule without letting us know....

This is called mis management. ICL failed to do many things. Their were light faults in the Stadiums at Hyderabad Stadiums when Matches started.

Looks they need to learn a lot to compete with IPL. I was hoping that we will have WCL (World Cricket League) but doesn't look possible with such management. I was thinking that ICL will stand in competition to ICC but it looks they are failing from the grounds.

ICL is just a waste unless they get green singal from ICC.

Ya, Tigers are back with new name Warriors.

I think recession is haunting icl.....
