Who would have imagined that this pitch would turn out to be so good for batting. Gayle would be the one who would feel most disappointed as he decided to bowl on this track after winning the toss. England never did anything fancy today and batted to a certain plan and their skipper didn't miss out as well, he has led the side by an example and his innings now gives him the authority over the team which is much needed. He was ably supported by Owais Shah who eventually threw his wicket away. Strauss's dismissal just moments before stumps was very disappointing and that would allow the hosts to breathe better. Nothing has gone the Windies' way and they would have to do some serious thinking tonight if they want to bounce back into this game.
