Ahmedabad, Vizag confirmed as IPL venues

IPL commissioner Lalit Modi Tuesday said Ahmedabad and Visakhapatnam have been confirmed as venues for the second edition of the tournament.

For me its good as I live in Ahmedabad. I was unhappy when Ahmedabad Team was not purchased in the 1st Auction of Team and it was said that Ahmedabad will be added in the next auction coming in 2011.

They should have also taught about northeast states venues of Guhawati and others, as this will help to promote game like cricket. Becoz many of the northeastern states feel very isolated when it comes to organising any leagues or tournments, people here feel many corporates or bcci not concentrating on this areas. For the people here is always football or hockey is the favourite sport as their is not much investment . Hope so bcci will look into this matter when they planning to globalise the sport.

Guwahati might be added in the 3rd addition of the IPL.
